Julie Cooney Fischer is a self-taught artist and began at a very early age. She has perfected skills in creating artwork with pencil/pen, pastel and charcoal, oils and acrylic, and watercolor - mixing with other mediums. Julie brings a unique style to watercolor and wildlife depictions
Julie currently works with other mediums combined with watercolor. She focuses on southwest, wildlife, and nature themes in her abstract interpretations. She also has done several portraits of people interpreted from individual photos. Julie currently resides in the mountains of Colorado with her husband and daughter.
The picture shown at the top of the page is a view of her home taken during one of her many horseback rides through Rocky Mountain National Park where she finds inspriation for many of her paintings.
Julie has received invitations to display her work in galleries and exhibitions in New York, Missouri, Arkansas, and Colorado.
She does a variety of themes and styles. Julie does do special requests and portraits.
All of the pieces displayed are examples of her styles.
